London Design Festival: Our Top 3 ‘Must-Visit’ Events

Now in its 17th year, London Design Festival begins on the 14th of September with design-led events happening across the city until 22nd of September. There will be a programme of installations, talks, workshops and more, celebrating and promoting London as the design capital of the world, and gateway to the international design community.

London’s Autumn creative season alongside the London Design Festival, includes London Fashion Week, Frieze Art Fair and the London Film Festival. From the design-side, we have chosen our top three, must-see events happening during the design festival below.

18 Davies Gallery - 'Study'

18 Davies Gallery will present a collaboration with a Russian interior designer Irakli Zaria and a London based studio Fromental. The new exhibition will be curated by Irakli Zaria with the gallery’s selection of modern art and centred on the notion of a 'study' space, featuring works by renowned designers including Hans Wegner, Studio BBPR, Maria Pergay, Paul Frankl.

Detail London

Showcasing the latest high-end contemporary soft furnishings and wall coverings from international design companies, Detail London is a new destination for the interior design community during London Design Festival located within one of Olympia's lavish Victorian reception rooms.

Green & Gold: The Art of Design Through Awareness

Luxury cabinet-maker Smallbone of Devizes are showcasing collaborations including Sub-Zero Wolf, the world’s finest cooking and cooling appliances meets the world’s most desirable kitchens. There will be an opportunity to xperience eclectic dining with Sub-Zero Wolf’s private chef combining seasonal sustainable food and their latest culinary techniques. The Palace Gardener will be running master classes in plants and wellbeing, visitors can create their very own Smallbone mini terrarium.
