An Interview With
Eva Leone
Studio Director
A brief background about yourself
With a masters in both architecture and interior design, my 13 years in the design industry have been equally split between Milan and London with experience working for renowned practices as Antonio Citterio & Partners and LTW Design Works– as well as being a professor at the European Institute of Design.
What excites you most about Lawson Robb?
Working closely with the team, my aim is to evoke emotion and perspective with each project and translates it into extraordinary narrative seeking always balance between beauty and function.
Why am I so passionate about my work?
Architecture is a complex phenomenon, a constant dialogue between creativity, science, nature and man. I can embrace the entire environment of human life.
Who are some of your favourite all-time designers?
Kelly Wearstler for her adventurous sense of style.
Joyce Wang for experimentation of new materials.
Joyce Wang for experimentation of new materials.
What is happiness for you?
The smell of the sea.
Meetings with people who are still capable of feeling the wonder of little things.
How do you integrate design in your own life?
Creativity is like a muscle, as such it is already integrated in my own life. What I do is to train it, to practise it, to keep working on it. You always feel the urge to explore and be guided by beauty, to be very analytical and curious.
What is your motto?
You give life to what you give energy to.
